I'll be there. Looking forward to learm about Rovo.

Which? Otherwise no one is able to help.
-
Hi @mali , Do you see any errors in the log?
-
Hi @mali , Take a look here https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/open-files-limit-health-check-fails-in-jira-server-838555405.html
-
Hi @mali , There is no out of box report in Jira to report on historic changes in issues. You might want to take a look at EazyBi or something similar, which gives you a lot of reporting possibilities.

Hi @Manoj Kumar Emmadi , How do you run Jira if not within Apache Tomcat? One relativ simple solution would be to put a Reverse Proxy in front of the server and do the SSL termination there and have the communication between Reverse Proxy and Jira without SSL. You could use nginx for example for that.…

I guess you tried to start creating the link from each application? Did you check the BaseURL? Can you also check settings in server.xml? If it still does not work, I'd suggest to raise an issue with Atlassian Support here https://support.atlassian.com/contact

Hi @Scott Lasater , Do you see any errors in the log files?
-
Hi @Vijay dumpala , If you have one postgreSQL installation that contains all databases, all databases will be affected if you upgrade the installation or if something is not working.
-
Hi @Alexander King , Maybe for some pages editing is restricted and therfore you can change position in hierachy? This is the case if a red lock is on the top of the page. Do you have a DataCenter license or a Server license. I think archiving is only available in DC.
-
Hi @fan bu , Did you completely remove the application links in both applications before recreating them? Did your BaseURL change when you moved to the new server? If yes, did you update it in the application?
-
Hi @anjali s , So you are talking about the move function on in the more menu on the issue view? You can achieve this by changing the permission in that project. If you share the permission scheme with other projects, first create a copy of it. Then remove the roles/groups/users from the move permission. Assign the new…

@[deleted] sorry if you feel attacked, didn't wanted to be rude. I know this is a really emotional topic and I'm absolutely aware of the problems the end of server causes and I'm not happy with it myself, but that's a decision by Atlassian we all have to live with. And I'm also absolutely aware that there are business…
-
True, but Atlassian has announced this about 3 years ago and has been widely discussed, so I don't think it makes sense to start discussing this again. And @[deleted] obviously didn't read the release notes before upgrading, that's what I was referring to.
-
In general, I agree that it is unexpected that Atlassian already now starts to publish versions which are only DC compatible. But you can stay on 8.5.x, I'm sure this will be maintained until February, so you will get the updates and support you paid for. You just can't upgrade to 8.6 or later. And you always should read…

Hi @Vijay dumpala , I've made good experience with configuration manager for Jira app. This app supports migration very well and you can also include the attachments in the migration.
-
Hi @Mochuan Wang , Just to be sure, you have Jira Service Management and are licensed as agent? And it is a service project? Otherwise this feature is not available.
-
If you delete an inactive workflow, it does not break anything. If you want to keep the simplified workflow feature in a project, you should not edit the workflow in that project. The description for the workflows is generated when the project is created. If a workflow becomes inactive, the description will not change…

Hi @Qusai Atoon , I suggest to ask your question on the developer community, there it is about development. https://community.developer.atlassian.com/

Hi Naresh, You could use this https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/8.1.0/#api/2/user-updateUser to change the user name. To do that in bulk, you could use a tool like postman. It has a runner to run the same request with data from a csv file, where you could define the mapping from old and new username.
-
Hi @Naresh k , If the users should be merged, you have to make sure that user names are the same in both servers before migration. So you have to rename users in server A. You could do that by REST API. Then users will login to server B and see data of server A and B. There is always a chance, that data migration does not…
-
Hi @Naresh k , Just to be sure. Are that really different users on server A and B or is it the same user (as they have the same email associated). Do you want the users stay differentiated or should they be merged?
-
Edit Screen won't help you if it is a transition screen you are using in this case.
-
If a field is on the transition screen, it can be edited. Maybe you can change that with an app like scriptrunner, but I'm not sure actually. But shouldn't the user know, which issue he transitions?
-
The most easy way, though not the best is just to take a screenshot and share that. More flexible is to select the relevant issues in issue navigator (you probably have filter that you use in the dashboard gadgets) and then export them to csv. You can open that file in Excel or similar applications and create the report…
-
That's shown to everyone, no matter what kind of license/subscription you have.
-
Hi Hannes, According to this, insight should be supported by Configuration Manager, so if possible let I would try move that instance. https://botronsoft.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CMJ/pages/1112146000/List+of+Integrated+Apps And I strongly suggest to set up a test instance to try the migration if you don't already have one.
-
Hi @Hannes , Some apps are supported by configuration manager, but not many yet. For other apps, it depends on what kind of data needs to be moved. If they save data in custom fields, it should work. If not, you might need to find a way to move that data manually.
-
Hi @Mara Salinas , Welcome to the community. Is that board a Kanban or a Scrum board? If it is Kanban, it is sufficient to edit the filter of the board to just select the right issues with harbour.
-
No, you are definitely on cloud. All instances xy.atlassian.net are Atlassian cloud instances and your screenshot is also from cloud.
