Great response Ivan! To add to this, the way we see Projects & Goals interacting is that Goals represent the outcomes you are working towards, usually set on a quarterly basis and need some kind of progress checkin monthly. Projects are the actual work being done to contribute to those goals. These get updated weekly…

Hey Ben! Thanks for the sharing the feedback and looks like many have similar desires :D Can I clarify some of these needs with you? * Milestone Tracking Your asks around a milestone (needing a status, separate update etc.) sound like your milestone should just be a "project". Why not create an Atlas project that…

Hey Cyril, thanks for sharing! Can you show us an example and why you'd find that visual tree chart easier to navigate than a list view? Does it require additional searching / filtering capabilities to be useful?

Hi @[deleted] @Nehal @David @Cédric PIETRAS Hope you've all been well. I wanted to loop back and let you know that custom fields has now been released in Atlas Standard and Premium plans. We're super excited for you to try it out and let us know if it suits your needs. To learn more about custom fields, you can check out…

Hello team! I wanted to loop back and give you the update that we have now released Cancelled status for projects and goals 😄 We’re excited for you to try it and let us know what you think when you have work that needs to be marked as cancelled in the future! cc: @Aaron Morris @Leah Picone @__ Jimi Wikman

@Kate The functionality should only appear to users when there are goals that have been linked, or if the user has actively clicked the Link Goals button on the epic. Otherwise, it shouldn't show to other users. You can disable the integration via the settings cog. This will also turn off the linking between Projects &…

Hi Kate! Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like you are using Projects but not Goals at the moment. I will discuss this with the team in terms of whether we can build a configuration to turn this section off. To better understand the issue you're facing, does this advert pop up unexpectedly on epics? It should only be…

Hi Lauren! Thanks for your suggestion - at the moment, we have a set of pre-defined templates but this is a great idea for our backlog. Is there an example of what headings you'd define in a template that are most helpful? And would you just expect 1 template, or want to create many different ones for different teams/depts…

Thank you everyone for your kind offers to speak with us! We've set up a bunch of sessions and excited to learn more from you all. I think we have enough sessions scheduled to get solid insights from now, but please continue to provide feedback and keep an eye out as we're always looking to have conversations with you all.

Totally!! We are exploring with JPD on how we make this happen. I may be slightly biased but using Atlas goals is going to give you more rich context (description, monthly updates, team associated to the goal etc) than the default goals field in JPD ;)
-
Hey Mark, that's an interesting question. Curious to understand more about where you feel the two overlap? Jira Product Discovery is a place for a team to collate customer insights, manage their ideas and represent that on a roadmap. Atlas is for teams of teams to communicate on the status of work with one another, through…

I will see if my teammate @Daniella Latham , based in the US may be able to set up time with you and the US folks :)
-
Really interesting - thanks for that context! What do you mean by projects representing products and the product being an API?
-
Hello everyone! My name is Rachel and I am a product manager on Atlas. We are currently exploring how we might improve on this integration between Atlas (Projects & Goals) and JPD. I'd love to have a chat with anyone who is using the two products together, to better understand your experience and needs. Check here to get…

It should be displayed on the panel, if you click on Linked Goals from the screenshot in this thread above. It’d be in the bottom right and should take you to the config page. I believe this is the same page that Julien has directly linked above.
-
Hey @AAlbero , if you are the admin, you can just hit that cog icon on the Atlas panel and you can toggle the app off. It will disappear from your Jira view. Are you referring to the Status Update panel on epics or the Linked Goals button?
-
Yep that's right - sorry @Dan Keshet :( We may share more explorations via Community for feedback asynchronously!
-
I've noted down your feedback!
-
Hey Matt, HIGHLY encourage you to drop in some time so we can catch up more. Loving your feedback and energy around Atlas! https://calendly.com/rlin2/atlas-jira-goal-exploration-research

Hi @Jamie Biesinger Who would be the reader of a full learnings repository for all projects? Are certain lessons more useful to readers, based on a topic area? One way you could do this is by tagging the related projects with a common topic. Then in the topic homepage, you'll be able to find an aggregated list of all the…

Hi @Casey Watts ! 1. Teams are the same concept between Atlas and Jira. The teams you create in Jira are available (with the exception today, of Advanced Roadmaps) in Atlas. Where did your team not show up in Atlas? On the project or the team directory? 2. You should be able to see or search for your existing teams across…

@David Washburn Users who do not know Atlas will get some overview onboarding to the product through this panel to begin with. They will see information on what Atlas is and how it connects with Jira on projects. Once they are able to access Atlas, you will also not be charged for additional users as Atlas pricing is free…

In your case, is a Jira Board a project? Does a Jira project represent work being done that has a deadline and then is closed and a new Jira project spun up for the next piece of work, or is your Jira project more evergreen, ongoing work for your team?
-
+1 to @crouhana - I think the question here is, do you need to communicate to outside stakeholders (leadership OR dependent teams) on the weekly progress of a story or a bug? In terms of initiatives, this is on our radar to support more issue types than just epics.
-
Hey Doug! That's not quite correct. An Epic can be synced to only 1 Atlas project, but can be linked to many goals. In your case, if you had 2 goals that projects were contributing to, it might look like: Goal A - Project A <-> Epic 1 - Project B <-> Epic 2 Goal B - Project A <-> Epic 1 - Project C <-> Epic 3 Hope that…

I've noted this as a bug, as it seems a few others have faced weird behaviour with this dropdown as well. Thanks for raising this!

@Sing Chen Hi Sing! We are just starting to explore the journey between JWM and Atlas. I'd love to chat with you more to understand how your teams set up JSW, JWM, Atlas and Confluence. If you have some time, please drop it in my Calendly: https://calendly.com/rlin2/30min

Hi Jerry! Great question. Does an idea map 1:1 to an Atlas project in your set up? One way you can link the two is to link the JPD idea under the Related Links in the Atlas project. This simply displays the linked work but doesn't have any syncing behaviour between the two. Once linked, what is the behaviour you're…

Hi @Shashidhar Gowda Are you please able to email me at rlin2@atlassian.com so we can investigate this problem further? We need to get some more details from you to debug this issue. Cheers!

@Edie Hovermale Great question. At the moment, the Atlas for Jira app does not support Advanced Roadmaps specifically. If you are using epics in Advanced Roadmaps, you'll still be able to see Atlas connected to those epics in the issue view. We are starting to explore how Atlas can connect closer to Advanced Roadmaps…
