Hi @Hung Do, Yes, you can probably set up multiple instances with 10 or less users per Cloud instance, For a server installation you would be limited to 10 users per server, but if you are just evaluating the tool I wouldn't think adding more instances won't give you much more information than one instance would anyway. In…

Hi @Mike Buchanan, There was a conversation here around the "Likes" notification a while ago...here is a link: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/disable-like-button/qaq-p/90327 I'm able to disable them in my Cloud version, and I found this document as well:…

Hi @Olivier MAZEN, This functionality does not exist in Jira yet, but there is an open suggestion to add it. You can review and vote for it here: JRACLOUD-62196 or JRASERVER-62196 Hope this helps, -Scott

Hi @Hung Do, I would compare an instance to a single installation of the software. Here is an example to take it out of technology: I am a woodworker and I make all sorts of things from small boats to carts and cabinets to pens and toys. To accomplish that I have a workshop with all my tools, workbenches, etc. where I make…

Hi Kumar, Do you use script runner? This sounds similar to this: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-questions/Failing-to-create-Sub-task-in-Clone-issue-post-function/qaq-p/406726 https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/builtin-scripts.html#_after_create_actions Not sure if this will help you, but…

Hi @Amy, Here is an article from the 2018 Summit in Barcelona...it outlines the key take-aways from the Community Champions who attended. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Summit-articles/Summit-Europe-2018-Key-takeaways-from-our-Community-Champions/ba-p/889346 Hope to see you in 2019! -Scott

Hi @Elisia Schrauth, If you are creating a Next-Gen project you can only select from the templates. But...if you create a classic project click the drop-down arrow for Advanced, check the box for "Share Settings" and select the project. Hope this helps, -Scott
-
Awww....thanks @Meg Holbrook
-
Not out of the box, you need an add-on like Portfolio or Big Picture to create program-level road maps. Next-Gen project road maps are only at the project level. -Scott
-
There isn't anything that defaults in the project list that differentiates between Next-Gen and Classic projects. You have to look at each one individually. But...if you add "Next -Gen" as a Category in the project details you can sort using the Category field.

Hi @Jason Nowak, This is not possible with the Cloud version. The closest you can get would be to find users that have (or don't have) an exact email address. The "Assignee" field does not support a "LIKE" function, nor does it support "INCLUDES" or "DOES NOT INCLUDE" a text string. -Scott BTW...for more info on advanced…

Hi @Vedant Kulkarni, Here is how to tell if you are in an Next-Gen project: From your project sidebar, select Project settings. If you see a Features item in your project settings, then you are in a next-gen project. Select the Features item and you'll see some toggles. This is just one of the things that make next-gen…

Hi @Erik Jacobsen, Is the field NULL? If so, try going into the issue's edit view and 1) adding it via the "Add Field" option under the Admin button and populating it with data. I've noticed that several of my custom fields need to have data in them in order for them to show up. Hope this helps, -Scott
-
Hi @Joe G, Next-Gen projects don't use custom fields globally across projects like classic projects, that is why you don't see a "field scheme." So, currently there is no way to create a custom field in one project and use it in another. It's a big difference from classic projects, so I understand it can be frustrating. If…

Well....I can't say I have a "work related" t-shirt photo; I just have one work t-shirt for the Cleveland AUG, and no pictures. (Sad, I know. I need more swag and more pictures.) What I do have is a number of t-shirts from my volunteer work as a photographer for various pet shelters and welfare groups in Cleveland. This…

Hi @Julian Davchev, There is a Time Tracking report, for more information visit the document here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/reporting-764478415.html This is limited to 1000 issues though, and I think it is at the project level. You can also do it manually by creating a filter for your "done"…

I got all 7! Thanks @Tinker Fadoua, that was a fun 10 minute brain exercise.

That just gave me a headache

Hi @Ryan Zore, could you share a screen shot or explain what you mean by "not correctly display?" It will help to know what you are seeing and what you expected to see. -Scott

Hi Ray, do you have any other macros on the page? -Scott

My favorite "optical delusions" are the ones that trick the brain into seeing what isnt there and that can be explained by sciency stuff. Stare at the black cross for a few seconds. Eventually, two things happen... First, you'll start to see a green dot chasing the lilac circle. That's caused by a shadow on your retina…

Hi @mikayil-abdullah, I currently use Components to set up projects that cross applications or platforms. Here's an example: * Project; Update Data Storage to a Cloud based system * Components: Application 1, Application 2, Database 1, Network update (and so on) * Entities: Data Conversion, Script modification, Server…

In the spirit of Christmas (and the 2018 Advent Calendar!) here's a picture of what I'm giving my co-workers this year. The pen and pencil are made from wenge, which looks really good against chrome. The box is bamboo. Shhhh...don't tell anyone!

I like to treat myself with a dinner I normally wouldn't spend the money on: 18oz Delmonico steak (medium rare,) fries, sauted broccoli rabe, and a bottle of zinfandel or syrah.

FYI... Change the ownership of a shared dashboard Before changing the ownership of a shared dashboard, ensure that you inform the shared dashboard's current owner of your intentions. * Search for the dashboard that you want to change owners (see above). * Click the 'cog' icon to the right of the shared dashboard whose…

Another question for you... Are you the owner of the dashboard? Only the owner can edit and share it, but as an admin you can change the ownership; make yourself the new owner and then you should be able to share it. If you are the owner already then I'm stuck...I'll ask some of the other Community Champs. I'm not aware of…

@Thomas Schlegel you did your homework! @Monique vdB I really did cook in a Chinese restaurant for a couple of years in my 20's. I left because the boss kept trying to get me to marry her "cousin" so she could get her green card and it became rather uncomfortable. Oh...And I almost had a really bad accident this weekend…

One for the 2018 Advent calendar... Two truths and a lie... * I've been a line chef in a Chinese restaurant * I only have 8 fingers, having sacrificed the last two on my left hand to my table saw. * I went ice-kayaking in Lake Erie in January Think you know?
