Hi @Andrew Chung As long as the two projects/boards use the same instance of Jira then yes, this is possible. You can create a filter that pulls in the risk issue type from the projects and create your PMO board from that. Boards are just visual representations of filters, so if you can create a filter to pull the issues…

Hi @[deleted] , Personally, I wouldn't say either methodology is better. It all depends on how your team operates. I have cross functional teams working in projects that are both Scrum and Kanban. Something to keep in mind...Boards are just visual representations of filters, so there is no reason to choose one over the…

@Bill Brown I checked in with other Community leaders and it seems like you have found a bug. There is a similar use case reported here: JSWCLOUD-17902, I suggest you contact Atlassian Support to report your issue as well. Let us know what they say and if they revise the bug or create a new one. I'm guessing you won't be…

Sound advice, @Jakub Sławiński Deleting a user is almost never recommended; I can only think of one situation where I suggested it. -Scott
-
@Tansu Akdeniz Does she also need the "Browse Projects" and "Edit Issues" for those? I seem to remember that in order to move an issue you have to be able to see it and edit it, even through the bulk move operation. -Scott
-
Thanks for the clarification. Do you have all of the statuses assigned to columns in your board settings? Perhaps there is an unmapped status that is causing the issues to not show in the board.
-
Hi @Bill Brown , I have a couple of questions to help troubleshoot this, I am not quite understanding the problem. The title says that the issues are not in the backlog, while your description says you sent all the incomplete issues to inactive sprints when the last sprint was completed. You also said that your issue…

Hi @Bunty I don't think this is possible without changing the code of the UI. Does this tag ever change, or will it always be "kg?" If it stays the same then you could change the name of the field to "Weight (kg) instead of adding it at the end, or since this is a text field just have the users include the unit of measure…
-
Hi @Jose Alejandro Ruiz Garcia , You have two choices here: 1) Add the users to your Cloud instance and set up Groups and Permissions for them or... 2) Have the other company set up their own Cloud instance with their own project then link your instance/project with their instance/project using a third party application…

Hi @Victor Burgos Parallel sprints are not available in next-gen projects yet. There is an open request to add them, you can review and vote on it here: JSWCLOUD-17195 -Scott

Hi Luis, Do you get any messages when you try to run it? When you say it "doesn't work" what do you mean? -Scott

Hi @Andrew Wynn , Is it possible that you have a separate field configuration scheme for the subtask issue types that uses a different field config than all the other issue types? Check the field configuration that you are using to see what the renderer type is on the Description field; if it is different than the type for…

Okay, that's kinda weird. I'll see what I can find out. What version are you using?

Hi @Shaun Sheehan! I joined your group just so I could post this...I took the ACP-300 test at Summit and failed, so I posted some thoughts on it here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-discussions/ACP-300-Certification/td-p/1054683 I'll show myself out :) -Scott

Hi @Andrew Wynn , Does the same thing happen if you paste the block of text into a different issue type, or is it just for sub-tasks? Where are you copying the text from? If it is happening with every type my initial thought is that the source material is causing it. If you are not using Word for the source material try…
-
Hi @Meryam_assali , Check the workflow for that issue type and compare the status that the issue is opened in or changed to with the workflow and with any boards you have. I'm guessing that you have a board that has the status of the issue in the last column so Jira thinks that issue is "Done." -Scott

Hi @Konstantin Belenko , First, could you please edit your post to remove the links and the user's names? This is a public forum of Atlassian users like yourself, and we won;t have access to your space; including the names may be a violation of privacy rules in some countries. Second, your title of the post and description…

Hi @Annie , I did some more digging last night and found more in formation for you. It is possible to have a "federated" system where there are multiple separate instances that are connected and inter operable. More information is available via that link, your systems people may be able to help get it set up. You can also…

@Karen O'Keefe I had a small three-way and two cheese coneys (no onions) with the Skyline Chili hot sauce. And I got chili on my shirt.
-
Hi @Annie If you can build a filter for it you can show it in a dashboard. You'd use "project in (JS Project Name, JSD Project Name) And...." to pull the projects into the filter, save it, then when you create the dashboard use the new filter in the dashboard gadgets. You can also use the filter for a Kanban or Scrum…

Hi @Glenn Chundrlek , Components do not exist in Next-Gen projects. You could add a custom field for them, but it would not behave the same as a component in a Classic project. Edit: There is an open request to add them. You can vote on it or watch its progress here: JSWCLOUD-17601 -Scott

Thank you for the reminder, @Karen O'Keefe , there is a Skyline about 2 miles from my office. Guess where I'm going to lunch? I have a recipe somewhere for Buckeyes; the center is butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar and it gets dipped in melted chocolate chips. (I use these.) I'll see if I can find it and post it.…

HI @Kathy Dahmen, There is no way to build a filter on the calculated values, those values are calculated when the velocity chart is run. You may be able to use an add-on app like EasyBi to get what you are looking for, or you could build the filter to pull the issues for the sprint(s), export them to a csv file and use…
-
Hi @John Wood , I'm exploring EasyBi for my projects, so apologies if you've already tried this. I found two pages in their documentation that may hep: https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybijira/data-import/jira-issues-import/import-issue-change-history…
-
Hi @Callum McClean , This is not possible in Jira. Boards are just a visual representation of a filter and while you can order the issues in the board with various criteria, you can't order one part of the board differently from the rest. I suggest using two boards with nearly duplicate filters; one ordered by rank and one…

huh...that is very odd. I'm glad you were able to resolve it. -Scott

Hi @[deleted] , I wrote an article about this not too long ago, here is a link. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Agile-articles/Managing-Multiple-Projects-in-a-Single-Board-or-One-Scrum-to/ba-p/1035297 Hope this helps, -Scott

Hi @Quinn , This looks like a next-gen project. If so there is no release button for that type. To use releases you'll need to convert it to a classic project. -Scott
-
Hi @Michael , I've run a number of mixed discipline teams over the years, and I've found that it helps to identify the components or features at a high level and break them down into small deliverable or "products" before going into Sprint planning. Scrum and Agile purists will cringe when I say this but...I often use a…

Hi @Stephan Njo , You will may be able to use the "issueLinkType" field with "IS EMPTY." I'm on the Cloud version and don't have that field, otherwise I'd test it for you. Here is a link to the Advanced Searching document that outline all of the available fields:…
