And the documentation for Structure is available at wiki.almworks.com.

What he ( @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-) said, @FLAVIA MONIQUE FERNANDES GOULART :) You can learn more about Structure on its Atlassian Marketplace listing. Full disclosure: I work for the company that makes Structure. -dave [ALM Works]

Hi, @Vinay Sharma. To add to what @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- said, Jira Align may be a bit pricy for your needs (check it out), and Advanced Roadmaps is only available with Jira Cloud Premium. Structure, on the other hand, can be added to cloud without the need for a premium plan and is significantly cheaper than Jira Align.…

Exactly. Not really possible with Jira alone. :(
-
Hi, @Johanna. There are a lot of opinions on this topic. As you may already know, Jira alone doesn't really have a good way to look across projects. Therefore, if I may, the "best" approach is the one that works best your you, your stakeholders, and your company. There is no single way that is best for everyone. That said,…

Hi, @Daan Boesjes. There's a lot of discussion on this topic here in the community. Some would argue conformity is the key: Elicit feedback from all stakeholders and settle on *one way* of doing things so you can have an orderly and clean hierarchy across all of your projects and teams. Others argue that there is no…
-
Hi, @Eunice Lin. I agree with @Alexander Bondarev (although it is somewhat gratuitous for me to say so because I work for the company that makes Structure). The "best practice" is to find/use the right set of products in your Atlassian stack to best suit your needs -- there is no one size fits all. Or, you may choose to…
-
Sadly then, you'll have to try to get your teams to adapt to the Advanced Roadmaps way of doing things. If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone in this. There are many threads here on the community on this topic. Best of luck to you.
-
Hi, @Lara Arthur. Unless something has changed very recently with Advanced Roadmaps (aka Portfolio), it's not possible to have different hierarchies with different plans for different teams. There are several Jira Data Center apps that can help you do this, though. One of them is Structure for Jira. In fact, Structure is…
-
Hi, @Mathias Hoffmann. In addition to the possible solution mentioned by @Rahul_RVS, there are a number of other products on the Atlassian Marketplace that add the ability to create custom hierarchies in your Jira projects. The most popular are Advance Roadmaps by Atlassian (formerly called Portfolio | 2.5 Stars),…

That looks like Gantt Suite for Jira (by BrizoIT). I added tags to the post that should attract their attention. Or, you might want to reach out to them. Good luck! -dave [ALM Works]

Hi, @Carol Rodriguez . There are several Gantt solutions for Jira Cloud. Can you tell us which one you're using? (If you're not sure, a screenshot will help.) Once the community knows that, the right someone will be able to help. -dave [ALM Works]
-
Ahh... I understand now. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help you get the purchase decision through your process. gantt@almworks.com ;)
-
Hi, @Alexander Bondarev - Maybe you mean v2.4.1? If not, you are using a pretty old version of Structure.Gantt and you're missing out on a lot. -dave [ALM Works]
-
Congrats! But this is where everyone hits a wall, James. The Epic >Story > Sub-task hierarchy/relationship is "special." Jira, and many Jira apps, know exactly what to do with those issue types. Beyond that OOB hierarchy, all bets are off unless you are using an app that knows what how to extend hierarchies and add issue…
-
Hi, @m_chalak. I'm afraid you'll need to use one of the Atlassian Marketplace Gantt apps for full/real Gantt chart capabilities. :( ( Full disclosure, I work for ALM Works, the makers of Structure and Structure.Gantt. Structure enables you to build work breakdown structures -- WBS -- as you see fit, and much more. Add…
-
Hi, @James Booth. Structure for Jira (and BigPictiure, too) was built to enable you to easily do this very thing because, well, there is no easy way to do what you describe with JQL and/or scripting. You'd basically have to reinvent these Jira apps to do it. ;) I work for the company that created Structure. You can easily…
-
Hi, @Sam. To add to what @Egor Tasa [ALM Works] has already said on this subject, I'd add that grouping by labels may not be the way you want to go in the long run. In my experience, customers that start down this path (using labels to group/organize things) often forgo it due to labels being a free text field (and other…

Hi, @kle1047. Natively, in Jira, no. If you want to look (report) across Jira projects you'll need to have a look at: * Roadmaps / Advanced Roadmaps (Atlassian) * Structure for Jira (ALM Works) * BigPicture (SoftwarePlant) Each of these does what you describe (among other things). Note: I work for ALM Works, the makers of…
-
You might also consider one of the Atlassian Marketplace apps that offer this capability (on Standard cloud) -- most commonly: * Structure for Jira and * BigPicture There may be others, but these are the ones most often mentioned. Full disclosure, I work for the company that makes Structure. -dave [ALM Works]
-
I would add that, for 4, you may need an Atlassian Marketplace app for Jira that makes it easier to visualize what's going on across projects/teams. And, for 8, you're probably going to want a Gantt app that supports resource management. Hope that helps. -dave

Hi, @Kristin Lyons. The Boston ACE link mentioned above has an email link/button that will send an email to the group leaders. I suspect that's a good place to start. :) If that doesn't work out for you, let me know here and I'll try to help you out via other means. -dave
-
Hi, Michael. Unfortunately, the group is not very active here on the Atlassian Community, at least not here in this section. However, the Boston ACE is quite active, and recently established a Slack group. Check out ace.atlassian.com/boston I’m sure the group would love to hear about your experience at the next virtual…

@Günter Halmans Please use support@almworks.com (or, alm.works/support) -dave [ALM Works]

Hi, Martin. To add to what Egor & Nick said, by my calculations there are easily more than 30 thousand active Jira installations that use a Jira app (Structure, Advanced Roadmaps, Jira Align, BigPicture, etc.) to extend the out-of-the box Jira hierarchy as Egor describes. It may not be codified in the Jira code base, but…
-
Hi, @Igor Jira Align is a product from Atlassian. -dave [ALM Works]
-
Hmmm... That's not one of the Gantt solutions frequently discussed here -- at least not that I've seen. If I were you, I'd try to contact them directly about this issue. Good luck.
-
Hi, @Carlos. There are a number of Gantt chart apps for Jira. If you let the community know *which* Gantt chart app you are trying to use it will be easier for the people with the right knowledge to respond :) I happen to work for the company that develops Structure.Gantt, but there is BigGantt from SoftwarePlant, WBS…
-
Hi, Vikrant. For perpetual server licenses, your software will continue to work. However, you will no longer be entitled to software updates (bug fixes, security updates, new features) or technical support. As long as everything stays "as is" you should be okay. But, once you decide to upgrade an app, or Jira, things could…

Hello, @Eugene Kraschenko. I guess we are all quite late with a reply :( (Sorry about that.) Structure.Gantt allows you to set the time precision as you like -- down to minutes if you'd like, hourly by default. Note: I work for the company that makes Structure.Gantt. Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure which of the other…
