Hi @Stephen French - check out this tutorial on the Cloud Migration Trials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp1dBw9sJos Around the 5min mark it talks about how you can apply the Cloud Migration Trial to an existing cloud site URL (assuming it's on a normal trial/free plan). It's recommended that whatever URL you enter is…
-
Hi @khushboo_puri - You shouldn't need downtime as long as you're on Jira Server 7.6 or newer, however every migration is different. For more information, please see our migration guide and Jira Cloud Migration Assistant documentation.
-
Hi @khushboo_puri , The Jira Cloud Migration Assistant just copies data to your cloud site (nothing is removed from Jira Server). For more information on the different migration methods, check out this video.
-
Hi @khushboo_puri, everything @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- mentioned above is correct! In addition, the easiest way to compare which server apps are available on cloud, view migration paths, and make business decisions (must have / no longer needed), we recommend downloading the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant. Within the Jira…

Hi @Ellis McMahon , see below: * Confluence Cloud backup documentation I also found this article on automating your site backups. Hope this helps!

Great article @Amna Elabbas ! I'll also give a soft plug for the bi-weekly cloud migrations demo for folks who are more visual learners, want to see a walkthrough of the process, or just want a chance for some live Q&A :)
-
Hi @Ellis McMahon , For more control over updates and releases, Premium cloud plans currently offer a feature called "Release tracks" which allow you to review, test, and bundle your updates 2 weeks ahead of time (vs. continuous releases). However, I did a bit of digging and found this advice from another community member:…

Hi @Maneesh Chaubey , It will depend on the number of issues and complexity of your instance, however the recommended method is to use the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant. This a free app that you install on Server, and will allow you to select only the project(s) you want to move. Additionally, the Jira Cloud Migration…

Hi @Gokul Pradheep , if you've already used the full 60-day Cloud Migration Trial, you can let our team know here and they'd be happy to assist!
-
Hi @Gokul Pradheep The best way is to visit atlassian.com/get-cloud and click Activate your free cloud migration trial. This will bring you to a signup flow where you can extend your current Jira Cloud Standard for a minimum of 2 months, or up to 12 depending on when your Jira Server license expires. Once you select the…

-
Hi @Jy , Have you reviewed Atlassian's cloud security information? I'd recommend reviewing that in detail to help make your decision, as your Atlassian products would be free in cloud for 10 users. If there are specific requirements not being met, please let us know so we can share with the team.
-
Hi @bschmi , Right now it depends on the app - some have clear migration paths and some you'll need to reach out to the vendor (and some apps don't require data migration at all). I'd recommend the below resources to get started: * Migration Guide: Audit and assess your apps * Documentation: Apps that are available in…

Hi @K-IT Team @Henno Gous @Michael Beer _Verw_ @Jason Michaud @Alex Janes we're currently exploring additional options for non-profits and will provide an update soon. However, your Community Server license is still supported until Feb 2, 2024, meaning there shouldn't be any immediate changes for your organization.…

Okay this is way too hard and if you ask me tomorrow the list is likely different, BUT: Avatar: the Last Airbender Hipster moment: I remember watching the finale as it aired the first time on Nickelodeon, and having my friends making fun of me for watching a "bad anime ripoff." It's been validating to see the resurgence of…

@Katharina M. your trial would be for 20 months, but our expectation is that (hopefully) your migration won't take that long. We can also credit back any unused maintenance to your new cloud license after you move, so you don't need to wait until your Server license expires to switch.
