Actually, you don’t need automation for that - you can simply use a post function to clear the resolution field. This article outlines best practices for handling the Resolution field in Jira Cloud (but the same principles apply to Data Center as well):…

I'm working on a solution for that :) I will drop an update later this week

looks like there is an active incident: https://status.atlassian.com/

Additionally, the user must belong to a group that has been granted the required global permission: Make bulk changes Modify collections of issues at once. For example, resolve multiple issues in one step.

Check if Organizations might be what you’re looking for: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/use-email-domains-to-automatically-group-customers-into-organizations/ Once you set that up, you can use JQL filters based on organizations or customer details to segment and manage your queues more…

Based on the screenshot, we’re looking at the view screen, where the default value is shown as None - this cannot be changed. However, you can hide the field when it’s empty by configuring the issue layout in Project settings. In the field configuration, you can set a default value - but for a text field, this might not be…

Starting with the basics: you’ll need licenses for any Marketplace app you choose. Apps like Zephyr, Xray, and TestRail are all solid solutions. Since this question hasn’t gotten much traction here, I recommend reaching out directly to the vendors behind these apps and asking for a demo specific to your use case. For even…

Brace yourself - features will be limited, and you’ll likely run into many challenges, starting with authentication, data fetching (create, edit, view), permissions, transitions, and bulk operations. You need to define the core features you actually need and evaluate whether they’re even possible to implement. As an…

I asked chat GPT, here is what it suggested: It sounds like your nginx proxy might be hitting a timeout or buffering issue when Jira gadgets are loaded. Here are a few things to check in your nginx configuration: ✅ Increase proxy timeout values → Add or adjust these settings in your nginx config: proxy_read_timeout…

I’d suggest checking directly with the app’s support team - they might have an ongoing issue, or it could be something specific to your Jira instance.
-
I’d suggest reaching out directly to the Xray support team - they’ll likely provide more accurate help than the community and can guide you through the process.

You can check what Chat GPT suggests or search through more technical developer community: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/

I wrote a huge post about how we used to run this at my previous company and why, but I realized it would go off track (I’ll save it for an article later 😄). So here’s the straight-to-the-point version: In our case, customers don’t need to be updated on everything. They usually fall into one of three categories: Problem →…

It depends on the configuration of the given SLA, you can find more details in SLA conditions section (I belive this is the defaul configuration):

Maybe you can just multiply it by 100, and in any calculations divide it by 100. Here is an example how other user solved this: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-Product-Discovery/Create-a-RICE-Method-custom-formula-for-JIRA-Product-Discovery/m-p/2513315#M1371

I don’t think so - there’s no way to change the appearance. You can only adjust the column width to scale down the preview. If you stack multiple items, it will trigger a fixed row height, and a funny-looking scroll bar will appear if all images don’t fit.

Based on "Privacy and Security" tab of the mentioned app: This app is owned and maintained by Atlassian Atlassian-owned apps follow Atlassian's privacy and security policies. You can find more information on the policies at the Trust Center and in the Atlassian Customer DPA.

If you think you might need to use this later - with all includes links, files, or other complex elements - it’s always a good idea to create a backup. Just make sure to name it properly and store it in a safe place, so you know what’s inside and when it was created. (If you are also using Jira I would definately create a…

Just follow this article, and configure SLA to your needs: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-sla-conditions/

From the look into documentation: Yes. Q: Does Exporter allows me to export comments and attachments and re-import them to a different JIRA instance? A: Yes, the export files you get is totally compatible with another JIRA instance, regardless of the platform (Server or Cloud). You can even export/import the attachments!.…

Great list! Some of these features are already in Atlassian's backlog. You can vote for them - I've filtered the list down to Database-related ideas: https://jira.atlassian.com/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20CONFCLOUD%20AND%20component%20%3D%20Database%20ORDER%20BY%20votes%20DESC

Not yet, but it looks like Atlassian is working on it. Check this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-57746

Hmm, I tried it, and it doesn't seem to refresh - it only updated when I manually triggered a status change (by changing the column or by refreshing the page). According to this task, it should refresh every 30 seconds: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-86374 But it doesn’t, so it looks like a bug (or an…

#Not an agile expert view# If something works, focus on improving it rather than blindly following new practices—change can disrupt team spirit and undo good practices. However, if it’s not working, fix it - maybe that’s exactly why you’re working with these teams in the first place. In that case, breaking the status quo…
