Congrats @Gal Fatal ! So happy to see how our community is growing and evolving! You ROCK!!!

Sure, you just go to the board --> configure screen. There under the general tab, you should find the link to the filter on which your board is based upon. You can click the link and update the filter (add something like this: 'AND type != sub-task') to the JQL and save. It should do the trick and disregard all subtasks…

Hi Scott, As the out of the box Created vs. Resolved report is not very customizable I would like to ask you what other reporting capabilities do you have in your system? Do you have eazyBI or some other app you can use for that? In general, I would say that eazyBI can definitely manage that kind of report. I can also…

I would guess that on the original board, the subtasks were hidden by the board's filter or quick filter. In general, the active sprint view displays subtasks as separate cards, and the backlog view hides them by default.

Well, another solution may be using a custom field and filling it with a scripted post function that you'll attach to all transitions (lots of work here). The code will read the current status of an issue and "calculate" the corresponding status category. The same can also be achieved via scripts listeners, which will save…

Hi Renee, How are you managing the inheritance? Are you using an app for this? If yes - which one? The fields you've mentioned are a little special and may require a specific technique or method of writing in order to inherit them. BR, Tanya

Thanks for your quick answer Shawn. The reason I asked this is to make sure they don't create the tickets from the portal, like regular customers. So following the scenario you've described, I would say that this behavior probably means there's some post function or automation that is hidden somewhere because they manually…

Could you please elaborate more on how exactly "an Agent or Admin in the project creates a ticket and assigns to themselves"? Is the assignee field displayed on the create screen of the ticket, or do they try to change the assignee later, after the ticket was already created and assignee was set to unassigned?
-
Just from the top of my head, without testing or anything, I guess you could create a vlookup if you get a list of all statuses and their respective categories. Status Category is indeed not shown on the filter columns. I wouldn't worry about compatibility too much, because the status category is not changed frequently.

Great! If you need anymore assistance in the future, don't hesitate to ask :-)
-
I would suggest using the Clone Plus app for Jira.

Hi Jeff, This happens because the listeners aren't triggered during the transition because there's no Issue Updated event fired for it. As far as I could understand you have set up several listeners, one per team, and you validate the team name in the condition to know where to send the email, correct? I would suggest the…

Thank you guys for all your comments and suggestions! @Andy - PTC Redundant I will definitely see you at Summit, and we'll continue this discussion face to face :-)

Well, in general, @Ravi Sagar is right, but I would add that fields will not be displayed if they don't have values. So if you need several fields to be displayed only on specific issues simply add them to the relevant schemes and avoid adding values on irrelevant issues.
-
Maybe there's no value in the field on that specific issue you're looking at? Empty fields are not displayed in Jira server/DC...

Hi, You may be able to create some or most of the functionality using script runner behavior module, but it's going to be painful. I would recommend checking out the dynamic fields app by deviniti. It helps you easily create and manage dynamic fields (exactly as you described). Good luck! Tanya

Why using Jenkins? It sounds like a post function in a Jira workflow. What do you mean "based on Jira ticket status"? You can also save a filter based on some defined criteria and subscribe users to receive emails. This way all saved columns will be included in the email.

Try adding ? before value def SourceValue = (fields[SourceField.id] as Map)?.value
-
Yes, it should work the same if you have script runner for Jira cloud installed
-
Hi Shruti Jain, Sorry for the late response. Yes, you simply define a custom scripted listener, set triggers (issue created/updated) and paste your script inside. In order to debug just use log.debug() statements. You should find the print outs in the atlassian-jira.log file on the server. There's also a scirpt runner…

1. Jira administrator should go to administration -> issues -> under issue features click on time tracking and setup the time tracking as needed. 1. Open your board. At the right upper corner go to board -> configure -> estimation -> select Story points for Estimation Statistic.
-
Hi, You don't need the beginning, just start your script from log.setLevel(org.apache.log4j.Level.DEBUG) and also leave the import statements. Also, try with inline first. Make sure your code works and then place the script under \Application Data\JIRA\scripts
-
Did you configure time estimation as enabled on the Jira server level? Also there's a place on the board configuration to setup the estimation statistics. You should select story points as your estimate and also decide what statistic is going to be "burned", in other words how would you report log work on issues.
-
What's the exception you get? Did you diclare a package for the class? Did you try runnign a simple hello world line as a class from a script listener?
-
You can do this with script runner or alike apps via pretty simple scripted listener.

Hi, We're doing the same! In our case we have created users in Jira for both assignees and reporters imported from ALM, mostly to allow filtering and reporting later. If users are no longer active (left the company or something) you can create them as inactive users that don't consume any license. Also, make sure that the…

Hi, Your solution looks fine but it will write the values to agile-team field without a historical record. Is this on purpose? Here are the 2 options you can use to update a custom field: 1) without a historical record customFieldTarget.updateValue(null, issue, new…

Hi, First, the easiest way to do this is to disable the project administer permission. Users that don't have this permission can't reach the project details page and of course, can't change the project name. If this is not acceptable, I would try using the announcement banner to deliver the code snippet that will disable…

Hi, You should probably use a condition for that. Jira has out of the box conditions, validators, and post functions you can set per each transition. Conditions will allow you the limit the selected transition to a selected role as you requested. It's called 'User Is In Project Role'. Regards, Tanya

Hi, I think you should set both the min and max fields to the same value (the exact string) to color these cells. Cheers, Tanya
