Unable to create a new Jira Cloud Free site

Question

Hello,

I’m trying to create a new Jira Cloud Free site, separate from my existing site.

After entering a valid site name using only lowercase letters and numbers, I receive this error:

“Something went wrong on our end. Please try again. If this keeps happening, contact support.”

Earlier, the signup page also became blank after I entered the site name.

Could an Atlassian team member help investigate and advise how to complete the new site registration?

Hi,

Lots of people have reported this generic signup error. Here are things to try:

* Check Atlassian's status page for an open incident. If there is one, wait a day and try again.
* Atlassian staff have said the error is often caused by the CAPTCHA not loading. Use a private window with ad blockers and privacy or cookie-blocking extensions turned off, or try another browser or network.
* Try a longer site name. Community answers say it must be at least 6 characters.
* Since you already have a site, you can skip the public signup page. In Atlassian Administration (admin.atlassian.com), select your organization, then Apps > Atlassian apps > Add app, and follow the prompts to add Jira on a new site (https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/add-a-new-product-to-your-organization/). The new site will then belong to your existing organization. If it needs to be fully separate, sign up with a different Atlassian account instead.
* Note that new Cloud signups are blocked from some locations, for example Russia and Belarus.

If none of this works, contact Atlassian Support and give them the Anonymous ID you posted. Only Atlassian can look up that ID; community members can't see your signup logs.

Could you try creating the new site through Atlassian Administration → Apps → Atlassian apps → Add app?

If that fails, contact Atlassian Billing & Licensing Support and include your Anonymous ID. My fellow Community Champion Tomislav has written a step-by-step guide on how to reach them.

We're Community members and can't investigate backend provisioning issues.
