"Automate All The Things" kudos badge
Just finished watching the live session with @Matt Reiner K15t, and it was fantastic! I’m really excited about using automations to streamline our team’s workflow in Confluence. One automation I’m eager to try is automatically creating tasks when specific labels are added to pages, so our team never misses important action items. I also learned how powerful conditional rules can be for tailoring workflows to our specific needs. Looking forward to diving deeper into this and saving time on manual processes. Thanks for the great session!
This session was really inspiring and gave me great ideas for using automations in Confluence.
Use Case:Automating task assignments. For example, when a new task is created on a page, automation can assign it to the appropriate team member based on their role or workload.
The insights on automation are truly inspiring! The practical examples and straightforward explanations effectively showcase how workflows can be streamlined for greater efficiency.
The livestream was incredibly insightful and sparked so many ideas for using Confluence automation! It highlighted practical ways to save time, like automating meeting notes, archiving inactive pages, and notifying page owners about updates. Thanks for such a great session.
Very interesting that there is an "AI condition" that can determine if a pages is about "finance"
I use Confluence Automation to create and link Jira issues to a specific type of page in confluence. In my scenario, I group requirements together into a Milestone using labels. When I create the Milestone page in Confluence, it automatically creates the Milestone issue in Jira and links the requirements to it. This allows me to group requirements together into deliverable milestones and add/remove requirements via labels in Confluence. I track the Milestone in Jira Advanced Roadmaps as 1 level higher in issue hierarchy to Epics, this allows me to independently define, track, and plan any type of deliverable (milestone) I want and use Confluence to adjust scope without having to muck with Jira so much.
Especially for Confluence I love the automations for archiving old pages. It keeps your knowledge base clean!
Automating ticket routing is great for me
For me the benefits are associated with me being more self-sufficient. The ability to quickly brainstorm on producing new content, finding references and supporting material quickly is immeasurable. I don't need to reach out to many people to assist me. And let's not forget writing improvement features!
I now write gooder than ever! 😉
Great Session, Excited to automate content review cycles by notifying page owners of inactivity and auto-archiving outdated pages. Looking forward to exploring more with scheduled triggers and AI-driven automation!
I am using Automations for Confluence in our company to manage documentation pages:
The Smart Buttons are AMAZING!
I use Confluence automations to streamline product release documentation by automatically creating a series of templated pages in a predefined hierarchical structure. This ensures consistency and saves time by eliminating manual setup for each release.
I need to process and see how to best implement it for my use cases
We have several documentation pages that need to be updated periodically, so an automation can help with a reminder of these updates.
Off late my recent liking of this Confluence automation is the "Automate Meeting notes" and AI automating complex tasks.
Really an enhanced AI collaboration and consistency.
I wanted to add a label to multiple pages based on the starting letter of the page title. As there were over 100 of pages, automation helped achieve the task in minutes
Love the session
Very useful session, gave me some great ideas about using automations for content review cycles.
The automation of meeting notes is exciting, will be trying that in my Project.
Very Informative
I really enjoyed watching the video on Automations as I found it a much more useful resource for learning vs. reading instructions. My use case is: WHEN an action item is created on X page, IF the word 'SLS' is used THEN create a Jira issue in X space. Mainly i'd also like to sort out how to create automatons for specific pages/page trees/ folders vs. whole Spaces. There are often many different people using pages in Spaces and I do not want my automations to effect their pages.
Hi @Matt Reiner _K15t_ Kudos to you for the amazing presentation! I’m excited to explore automating content reviews in Confluence! Setting up a rule to auto-tag stale pages for review and notify the right team members will be a game-changer for keeping our documentation fresh. Also looking forward to experimenting with auto-archiving outdated content—goodbye, clutter! 🚀 Can’t wait to see what others are automating!
Hi @Matt Reiner _K15t_ , thanks for this amazing session, I really liked the use cases demonstrated in the presentation, specially how you can notify people if page has not been updated from past few days.
Once again, thanks a lot for this session
Auto-creating our weekly meeting docs is pure bliss!
I have successfully implemented a Confluence automation that enhances visibility of Jira issues referenced in documentation. The automation is designed to:
Sad I missed this, there are some really cool uses of the automation. Specifically in conluence, when a documet is added, it can trigger an email to the manager/admin of the space (really handy).
Loving these Live Learning Sessions 🙌 excited to use the automation of meeting notes for my next project session!
I would love to try out how I can bring confluence automation and Jira automation in harmony for managing BoW
Been looking at this over the last week, so far I have done the following:
Next is a scheduled automation to create a Stand Up Page each Friday...
