How to show values in single select list according to issue type within same project

Question

I want to use same select list field within the same project, but for each issue type i want to display different values in select list. How can i achieve this. Please suggest, any suggestion..i have script runner and behavior plugin. JIRA Server

Vikrant you have to restructure your need here.

A custom field can only have one context per Jira project. So you cannot have multiple contexts for different issue types in the same project.

So you can have multiple context configured per field.

Once solution you can use is (quite complex),

* Have all options for a project and it's issue types defined in one context.
* Have workflow transition configured to show only specific option for a field using transition properties.* You will have to use Bheviour section of ScriptRunner plugin for this.

You can first try this out in demo/sample project or better staging environment.

Hi @DPKJ  Thanks for the solution. But in Context i can't select same project more than once. If in first context i select A project for Story issue type , for the same field i add new context second context for Bug issue type , but in this context i can't select the same project A again. It's will show in the project list. i can select issue type but not project more than once. Please suggest

I have a query in which i have a Custom field < Single Select List >, this custom having different values for all issue type with a project Bug, Story,EPIC, Task, Dev Bug .

Instead of creating same field again and again i want to use the same field for all these issue type with different values but context not allowing me to select project again. Please suggest

@Vikrant YadavYou can surely do this in Jira. You need to configure scheme for this.
