starting confluence on service desk

Question

I can use a script to start confluence on the service desk VM.

When attempting to access confluence https://$ip:8090  I get:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

$private_IP sent an invalid response.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

I saw a thread which said that 8090 was the wrong port.  telnet localhost 8090

makes a connection, so that is the correct port.

I didn't see anything significant in the logs.  Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps someone would point me to a text link for installing confluence on a host

already running service desk?

Hi,

port 8090 is for http, so if you are running it on your local just use http://localhost:8090.

If it's not yur case then you need configure SSL for your Confluence ( I recommend use some kind of proxy server).
