new jira issue view - how to edit screen

Hey

While I like the new view/ layout it seems to be missing a core option? i.e. how do I edit the issue? 

My project has a screen scheme attached with a number of tabs with different items, how do I edit my issue so I can access these values? 

I'm hesitant to switch back to the old view and would rather get it working in the newer stuff.

Hello Ben,

The New Issue View of JIRA does not support the tabs of project screens yet since our developers are still working to implement it as collapsible menus as displayed in the old view (Se their progress here).

That been said, all the fields added to the tabs of your screens should be displayed in the right panel of the issue view, as you can see in the screenshots below:
