Why is this so difficult or am I missing the point?

SLA reports are currently limited to JIRA service desk. The SLA is a calculated based on the different criteria you add when you create it. I believe that this complexity is what is delaying it from being part of the Confluence reporting repertoire. I am hoping at some point that Atlassian includes them in Confluence reports but has not done so yet.
