How to force push a reduced repository to one >2GB?

Hi,

My repository has gone into read mode (>2GB) after accidentally committing data. I ran an aggressive gc and filter-branch in order to get the size down to about 100MB, but I cannot push it this slimmer version, as the original will not accept writes. How can I rectify this?
