How set the resolution and resolution date using jira-python in Jira Cloud

Hi,

I cannot set resolution and resolution date using jira-python.

jira.transition_issue(jira_issue, transition=11, resolution={'name': 'Done'})

The given error is:

Field 'resolution' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown.

I tried plenty of tests but no way.

This is what it says - the field "resolution" is not on the edit screen, so you can't change it.

The obvious answer is "add it to the edit screen", but in reality DO NOT DO THIS.  If you do, your users will set a resolution, hence closing every issue, on every edit.

You should only put resolution on transition screens - i.e. set resolution when closing an issue.  This also applies to the process you are trying to automate with python.  You should only set resolution as part of a command to close the issue.
