Jira REST api getting 403 Forbidden

Have read many forum threads and docs. Still issue with Jira Rest using Basic Authentication.

Can not get past auth.

Am running Jira software server 7.3.8 with Onelogin for Oauth (with mfa) so I know I need to use an apitoken

Created api token

Have tried curl with
- u username:token
-u lower(username):token

-H "Authorization: Basic <base64(username:token)>"
-H "Authorization: Basic <base64(lower(username):token)>"

All result in 403 Forbidden.

So frustrating!

Appreciate advice !

Hi Chuck,

As far as I understand, you may not use API Token for the Jira Server same like you point in the link above to Cloud documentation. You can use OAuth Token. And here you need an additional application, not just passing the parameters to curl.
