Is it possible to update the project profields value based on the Value selected in another project?

Hi All,

 

Currently, the project "A" is used for requesting any change in budget / Schedule of any project in JIRA. Once the request is completed, we manually go and update the budget/schedule/scope of the project.

Is it possible to update the fields automatically after completing a particular transition. Lets say, when the issue is moved from Fulfillment to Done, the budget should be auto updated in selected project.

 

Field in Project "A" :

[field name, Single select] Change of Impact

[Options] change in Budget ,change in scope , change in Schedule

[field name, project picker field type]Linked Project : All project in JIRA

When a user selects change in budget and the respective project where the change is required, to trigger an auto update in budget in the respective project upon transition of issue from Fulfillment status to Done.Is this feasible? what are the possible scenarios we can apply to achieve this?

Any advise or suggestion will be highly valued?

Our team has reviewed your questions and we believe that this is totally feasible through Profields Java API. 

You would need to go to the transitions Scheme and between those transitions that you would like this fields to get updated at, you'd need set up a request for the Profields Java API where you can make these fields autocomplete.
