active directory integration

Type ActiveDirectory = Microsoft ActiveDirectory
Server ActiveDirectory = Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter
Atlassian software server = Windows Server 2016 Datacenter

I have problems connecting my ActiveDirectory, I follow the instructions on this page perfectly:

The quick test is passed, so I press "save and test" and then "Test settings" but this error comes out:
"Test retrieve user: Failed
User <grechim270@BCCdiBrescia.loc> does not exist "

The fact is that the user exists and using the "LDAP" application from the "Atlassian software server" I can browse the ActiveDirectory perfectly,
in the "Base DN" field, as indicated, put "DC = BCCdiBrescia, DC = loc"

can you help me?

Thanks a lot. This safe my day after spending two days troubleshooting. I dont know why atlassian not making this important fact bold in their documentation.

Resolved!
The problem was that the user performing the "test setting" must be part of one of Jira's local groups.

@AdministratorHow to get the base DN ? you will need to log in to your LDAP or AD and right click on the container where users and groups are keep inside for example container RD , once again go to Properties→ Attribute Editor and look for the attribute distinguishedName there you will find the correct syntax.
