I recently read this article: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/project-management/epics-stories-themes which indicates that an initiative is a collection of epics. According to the article, Atlassian sets up initiatives as epics. But when I attempt to create an epic within an epic, I get an error stating An epic cannot have another epic linked to it. What am I missing? Is this functionality added in a newer release?
I have never seen a case where you can have an epic of epics. Maybe an addon provides this but again never seen this.
Themes and initiatives are available in Portfolio for Jira, and that is what the article is referring to.
