JIRA 6.4 install

Question

I am trying to install JIRA 6.4 with mysql 5.7

When trying to connect to the database, I am getting the message:

Unknown system variable 'storage_engine'

Is there a way to solve this ?

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the pointer, not sure if the proposed solution can work for 6.4 (entry says 7.3 and above), I am not currently able to locate a dbconfig.xml in my installation.
