Export / Import Confluence space from Cloud to Server

Question

We currently have two Atlassian instances and are working on a convergence project in which we will migrate from Cloud to on premise .

The first step we are looking at is taking our cloud confluence and importing it into our on prem confluence. this will not be an overwrite of the existing on prem space but an addition to it.

What is the best way to do go about this.

Also there the cloud confluence spaces link to our cloud Jira which we are looking to migrate into our on prem Jira as phase two.

If we migrate one confluence project from cloud to on premise, Will the comments be persistent? I mean all the comments till that moment will be also migrated with the confluence page?

Hi,

for merging two Confluence instances you need do these steps.

* Export first cloud instance (bigger one)
* Import it into new server instance
* Then you need make export of every space in second (smaller one) cloud instance (in Content tools of every Space administration
* Then import it into server one by one space - By this step will not be nothing overwritten

With Jira it's similar - but of course make backups of everything before you start any next bigger step.
