Upgrade from Jira 6.3.5 to latest 7.9

Hi
Some forums suggest to upgrade to  Jira 7.0 but i can only find version 7.1 and later
Also i don't see clear  steps  of how this has to be done

Hey Alex, 

You could refer to Best practices guide for upgrading JIRA Software Server for more information. Basically, you'll need to upgrade to Jira 7.0.0 before upgrading Jira to 7.9 in order to prevent this known issue - This version of JIRA Agile requires a minimum build number of #45 in order to proceed
