Transition Report on all Issues without access to Database

Hey Community,

I have searched the web but have not yet found anything that could answer my question. So I hope someone in here can help.

We are looking to create a report for our Business to show much time we spend in each Transition for our Jira Issues. To document the Time to Market. So we can see where we have to improve in our process.

Also we want to see how many times issues move back and forth between transition phases. Which can tell us something about the quality delivered between each transitions.

Each issue in Jira has a Transition tab, that contains this exact information. But I can't find anywhere in Jira where i can get this report on all issues for e.g. a specific filter of issues. So we could add this to our Dashboard.

Can someone help?

There are a number of addons that are worth exploring. While they may not give you precisely what you want they may give you what you need. Check the marketplace for ‘time in status’ or similar.

I think the only way is to develop your own dashboard. Or you can get the data using Jira Rest API and analyse the result in another application. You can find info about Rest Api here:
