Adding a custom field for team selection to a scrum board

Question

Hi,

I´m searching for a solution to add a custom drop-down-field to a scrum board to track the status of different Teams in Jira without any extra plugin.

The scenario is, when I choose Team A from the field I would like to see the board from Team A.

Is there a way to add such a field maybe to the sidebar of the project board and how can I add the functionallity to the field that when I choose a special Teamname it will show me the Teamboard.

why not simply do as @Ismail Zaf elluded to:

* create groups for each team
* in the board create quick filters for each group

this allows you to quickly filter on one or more teams.

Hi, thanks for the answer. The solution with the different board is something we would also choose. But it´s actually not clear to me how swimmlanes can help me to choose a special team in jira. By the way when I want to define teams in Jira, I would define them with groups, right? Because I found no option where I can directly define a team, just a group.

yes thanks, that`s something I also found out but I hoped that there would be annother way without any extra plugin like portfolio.
