Hey Guys,
I have a really tough situation here. Our company wants to use GreenHopper to manage our agile team since we have used JIRA as our bug tracking software for a long time. The question is in JIRA we treat our platform as a project, and the individual product is presented as component since we will release the whole platform in a single release, products are integrated within the platform. But when it comes to sprint management, we have to make plans for each product respectively since we have different agile team working on them. How should I manage the iteration version in this case?
As we all know that in GreenHopper, the parent version is targeted for release version and the sub version is targeted for iteration version, if the project is our product then we got nothing to worry about: We can just make the parent version as our platform release version and make the individual product iteration version as the sub version. But in our case, we cannot go like this:
Project: Platform1
Version: 1.0
Sub version: Product1 1st iteration, Product1 2nd iteration, Product2 1st iteration, Product2 2nd iteration....
It doesn't make sense since we have almost 10 product modules in a single platform and they all have different iteration plans.
It's really drives me crazy....Any idea or suggestion you could offer is greatly appreciated
Best Regards,
Niki C,
