Useres Unable To Comment/Like A Question

We are using Confluence Questions as an internal informal forum tool however some users do not have the ability to comment on a Question or Answer but only Answer.

This is creating a string of bad data and hindering the use of the application, can anyone assist.

Hi Niel,

I've tested this in Confluence 6.7.0, and even if you've removed "add comment" permissions for a user then they still can add comments in Questions.

Can you confirm what version of Confluence and Confluence Questions you're using?
Can you show me what the users see that do not have the ability to comment? Is the "comment" box simply missing, or do they have an error?
Please try Clearing your Plugin Cache as a preventative measure.
Finally, Go to Manage Add-ons and look up Confluence Questions and all but one module should be enabled. The one that is disabled on mine is the Confluence Questions welcome module.

Thank you for confirming. I wasn't able to tell that you were on Cloud from your original post so thank you for letting me know that.

I will have a look at your instance and let you know what I am able to find out.

Could you let me know examples of users that do not see the comment option? If you have a test user that you use you can let me know that instead of sharing it publicly.

I assume your user can comment?

Yes I can indeed both comment and answer, however, for example, Khryzstine only has the ability to answer not comment
