Jira Reset After server restart

Hi ,

 

I have hosted jira 7.3.0 on cent os linux server and configured it to use external db. now due to some reason i had to restart the server on which jira was installed and when server restarted all my configuration were not there. iwas redirected to the very first page in which i have to set my db.  same was the case with confluence both were installed on same server.

what can be done to avoid it ???

You should check the dbconfig.xml file if your Jira connects to the right database server. If no, find the last backup of the file.
