Attachments to comments

Hello,

there are several ways to comment on issues. I have the Problem that when I attach an attachment to comments, which I send by e-mail, the recipient only gets a download link in his message, which does not work. The only way I can sent the attachment is by clicking the action button directly on an attachment and klick on “send to email”. But by this way I can only send one attachment at a time.

Can anybody tell me what might be wrong with attachments?

Hi Marek,

Based on your description it sounds like your Jira is working normally. Jira does not send attachments in notification emails as this would add significant overhead to the system.

If you are looking to expand the functionality of Jira email notifications I would recommend looking at a plugin for Jira such as the Enterprise Email Handler for Jira (JEMH). This plugin has extended support for adding images inline into email notifications.
