changing issuetype scheme for multiple projects

hi all,

we want to add issue types for 14 projects and majority of our projects use default issuetype. when I add a issue type, it adds to default.I want to copy the default issutype scheme and use it for all other un-configured projects( which is around 40)

Is there a way to switch the scheme for multiple projects at once ?

Yes. Locate the Issue type scheme in the Jira Admin section, click associate and then select the projects you want to associate it with.
