How do I fix my "Epic Sidebar" progress bars?

I recently added a Kanban board to my project (in addition to Scrum) and changed some workflow configurations. I assume that one of those two things made the progress bar always show no progress in all of my epics.

The tooltip that shows up when I hover over it says "0% of estimated work done (0 of 0 None)".

It looks like it's registering that issues get completed, but not in the same place that the progress bar reads from.

Our team is not using the releases feature if that matters.

From my experience, the progress bar only works against estimated Issues in JIRA as opposed to the number of Issues complete.

For example, if you have 4 issues in an Epic with only one estimated and only that estimated Issue is complete (i.e. the rest have yet to be done), the progress bar will show 100% complete.
