How to combine two instances of JIRA

Hello,

We have a situation where I'm asked to merge two JIRA instances.

These two ARE not on SAME versions, and almost everything is nonidentical.

Different set of plugins, custom fields, workflows, workflow schemes etc..

Any Plugin or any way to combine these two environments.

Whilst it is certainly possible to merge between different versions I would always try to reduce the number of differences between systems to a minimum so that testing can focus on the merger rather than any subtleties introduced by having different versions. You can then look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/How+to+merge+JIRA+applications+instances

However that does not mean you need to update your production versions as you will of course be testing your merge in a development environment first. So if you copy the older version to the development environment first. Perform your upgrade to match the version of the second system. Then follow the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver070/restoring-a-project-from-backup-749383456.html for how to perform a restore of a single project. Repeat this process for all projects to be merged.

You should be able to federate two versions of Jira, but not sure what limitations you might run into. By creating a new project on one server with enough new custom fields for you to not lose information while migrating issues between them.
