Confluence horizontal scroll bar position moved since Cloud migration

During last weekend our Confluence documents were migrated to Cloud Atlassain.

Since then my horizonal scrollbar is at the bottom of a table in the document (this happens to also be the very bottom of the document), with the previous on-prem confluence it was at the bottom of the screen. This behaviour is constant when reading the document BUT it reverts to the 'old style' once the document is marked for EDITing.

Unless editing, I now I have to scroll to the bottom of the document to be able to scroll left & right. Whilst this seems trivial, it means that once I'm at the bottom of the document, I can't see the lines I want to scroll across to so it's very hit and miss to move left and right. Obviously I don't want to keep setting a document to EDIT just so I can scroll left & right to read and refer to multi column tables in the document.

Anyone else found the same issue and found a fix? Thanks

This is a known limitation in Confluence Cloud, and there's already a matching feature request: CONFCLOUD-83986.

Unfortunately, view mode has no native option to keep the horizontal scrollbar visible in long tables. As a workaround, scroll horizontally with two fingers on a touchpad. I recommend voting for and watching the feature request.

Disappointing answer, especially as I use a laptop, keyboard & mouse, not a tablet.

Hi @Nigel Cannon,

With a mouse, the thing I'd try first is holding Shift while turning the wheel, with the pointer over the table. That scrolls it sideways in most browsers, and a comment on the ticket Arek linked says it's what mouse users fall back on today.

The ticket's description names mouse users too. It's still gathering interest, so a vote and a comment with this case help it get reviewed.

The other option is the table width, if the page is editable. Confluence lets a table be centered, wide or full-width.

On a wide monitor, a full-width table might not need the scrollbar at all. It depends on the column count, and I haven't tested it on a table this size.

Also take into account that Confluence Cloud and Data Center are two complete different products, functions are not equal or like functions behave and work diiffentely.
