Hi App Central community đź‘‹
Deviniti just launched a new app for engineering teams: Requira - Requirements & Traceability for Jira. It’s built around a problem that’s easy to describe and hard to solve: how to keep every requirement linked to the test that verifies it, know who signed off on what, and do it all without needing a second system next to Jira.
Two weeks before a review, who can say what was approved?
If you build regulated or safety-critical products in automotive, medical devices, or industrial systems, you might know this drill.
A requirement changes two weeks before a design review, and whoever has to answer for it ends up piecing the approved version back together from old spreadsheets, email threads, and whatever got exported last.Â
Ask an auditor to accept that reconstruction, and you’ll get the same problem, only sharper: they want to know exactly what was signed off and when. Digging through issue history and scattered PDFs doesn’t answer that fast, and it doesn't prove nothing was touched after the fact.Â
What Requira does
Jira tracks work well. Proving what was agreed, frozen, and verified at a point in time takes more structure. That’s where Requira comes in.
It organizes requirements into a multi-level hierarchy, by level, folder, and type, so you can match your own process, from functional requirements down to hardware and software.
Requirement structure in Requira
From there, it adds the pieces a V-model structure actually needs:
- Traceability and coverage. See what’s covered from requirement to test result, with a traceability matrix and coverage reports that stay current.
- Change impact analysis. When a requirement changes, Requira flags everything linked to it automatically. Reviewers check the impact instead of cross-checking by hand.
- Baselines. Lock an immutable snapshot of your requirements at any milestone. Compare one baseline against another, or against the live state, and see what was added, removed, or changed, with the previous version visible right alongside each diff. You can export the baseline or the comparison to PDF.
- Formal reviews. Run reviews with assigned roles, track progress through the review cycle, and keep a full history of who approved what.

Who this is for
A few setups Requira fits:
- Teams who split requirements across Word, Excel, or PDF files and stitch them back together by hand.
- Teams running DOORS, Polarion, or Jama alongside Jira, reconciling the two manually.
- Teams who bolted custom fields onto plain Jira and are starting to feel the cracks.
The app keeps requirements, tests, defects, and baselines in one system. No second tool to keep in sync.
Try it
Requira works with Jira Cloud. Find it on the Atlassian Marketplace and test it yourself.
If you’re dealing with requirement sign-offs, re-verification scope, or audit prep right now, I’d love to hear how you’re handling it. Drop a comment below :)
