Gravatars are enabled in the system settings, but I can't seem to select one.
Hi @Antonia
Jira loads them automatically based on the email address associated with your Gravatar account. You can check your profile here: https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/general
Are Gravatars not displaying at all, or are you just unable to select one?
Cheers,

Hi Arek,
I can't see them at all. You can't see them at all in the screenshot, but thank you for your help!
Hi @Antonia,
The Allow Gravatars toggle in General configuration probably isn't doing anything on Cloud anymore. Atlassian wrote on JRACLOUD-94638 that the setting "doesn't take effect any more", since the avatar comes from the Atlassian account.https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-94638
So the account avatar is what I'd check. Per ID-8879, an avatar uploaded to the Atlassian account gets displayed, and a Gravatar is only picked up when one exists under the same email address.https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ID-8879
Your screenshot shows an initials avatar. If you made it with Create initials avatar, it probably counts as your picture and wins. If you never set one, it's the default, and no Gravatar was found for the email on the profile page Arek linked.
Remove is worth a try in the first case, though I haven't found a doc that says what it falls back to
