ROVO error while updating user picker custom fields (single & multi)

Question

In Jira Cloud, I am able to update assignee/reporter through ROVO. But it always shows an error while trying to update custom fields with the user-picker type (same with single or multi picker). I get the below error,

Update Jira Issues for any fields (bulk) failed because ABTEAM-2: customfield_10076: One or more of the selected users do not exist or are not valid for this user picker.

I have tried this using the user's name as well their email addrss. But the same name works with the system user picker field.

Thank you for the comment !  I did come across that ticket, but surprising there isn't much traction on the issue. Makes me wonder if this is a Bug within ROVO, or if something needs to be done a specific way for the field to be updated

Hello, thank you for the comment ! I did try with the accountID and its the same.  It always reaches the - "The proposed action will set this Story’s Collaborators field to JANE JOE. Please approve or decline using the confirmation shown in the interface." When I click "Accept" , fails with the error :(

I found a related open Rovo bug:

This affects user-picker updates through the same Rovo bulk update skill, though the error is slightly different. Could you try updating the custom field manually in Jira? You could also try Lucija's suggestion to use the Account ID and check whether any user-filtering restrictions are in place. If manual editing works but Rovo still fails, please report the issue to Atlassian Support and reference ROVO-1145.
