Calendar app that shows JSM issues using start date and due date?

Hi all,

Looking for a plugin recommendation. I want to visualize Jira Service Management work items on a calendar based on both the start date and the due date, so each issue would appear as a card spanning from the start to the end, not just a single point.

The native Jira calendar view only takes one date, which doesn’t really work for how we plan the queue.

A few questions:

* Any Marketplace apps you’d recommend that handle start date + due date as a range (not just one of them)?
* Does it work well specifically with JSM request types, not just regular Jira Software issues?
* Any experience with free or lower-tier options before jumping to the paid ones?

I’ve seen a lot of names floating around but haven’t tested any against this specific use case yet. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who actually uses one in a JSM context.

The native JSM Cloud calendar should already do this, since it uses Start date and Due date by default and stretches an item across every day between them. It also filters by request type.

The start field is probably missing. An item with only a due date shows on that one day, and one with only the start set doesn't show at all.

Start date often isn't on the request type, so I'd check that first.

1. Add both date fields under Space settings > Request management > Request types, on the Work item view tab (the Request form too only if customers should set the dates).
2. Make sure the queue has a Calendar tab. If it doesn't, an admin adds it with Add to navigation next to the List tab.
3. Pick the fields in More actions > Edit queue > Calendar > Date fields.

If you use Views instead of queues, it's Views > Calendar > Configure views > Date fields.

I haven't tested this on a live site. Does your queue already have a Calendar tab, and is the start field filled on the items that only show on one day?
