So I have sites that has been deactivated for ages now, but it still shows under my site dropdown list. How do I get rid of it?

If your sites are deactivated and you can't open it in admin.atlassian.com panel please contact with Atlassian Support http://support.atlassian.com or directly with Billing/Licensing/Pricing team → https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing . They will be able to help you.

Are these sites appearing in admin.atlassian.com or the app switcher?
Even on Free plans, you can contact Atlassian Billing Support.
When the sites also appear in an incognito window, it's unlikely to be just a browser cache issue.
In case each site belongs to a separate, otherwise empty organization, Atlassian also documents how to delete that organization once its sites are permanently deleted.

All they say is to clear your browser cache. It was free sites. So I do not expect support from Atlassian.
