Due Date field not existing

Question

I'm trying to create a new work, it kept asking for Due date, but I don't see any Due Date field.

Left Navigation Tray where you see various options - the Formal name of your Space - 3 dots next to it - Space Settings

Then you'll find screens likely under the Work Items category or something similar.

Unless this is team managed - you will need Jira Admin permissions to modify screens (if at all)

Most screens by default are "all 3" contexts in one - some however may break them into 2 or 3 separate screens. Make sure the "Due Date" field is on all of them regardless of the configuration.

Rest are space admin level.

@Dong, Shuo that tells me you are not a Space Administrator/Owner.

You will need to reach out to whomever owns/runs your space - or the Jira-Administrator - or ultimately the Org Administrator - usually the guy/gal who runs your Atassian platform.

They will know what to do - or they can upgrade you (if cleared/authorized)

Are you the admin in that jira space? if not you may need to bring this to the space admin's attention as the field may be missing from the screen

One more thing: check the permission scheme (also needs to be checked by the space admin 👈) → specifically Schedule Issues permission as this one affects the ability to set system Due date field.

But, in any case, your space admin should be able to help here.
