Relative time of comments is inaccurate (Jira Cloud)

Question

The screenshot was taken on October 6th, 2026. The comment therefore was written less than a week (6 days) ago. Why is it showing "1 month ago"? This is inaccurate. Did you mean "last month"?

I know that we can click the relative time to get the absolute time. But the wording for the relative time seems off here.

There have been a couple of similar reports within the last few days, so I'm suspecting Atlassian has rolled out some kind of update that affected this.

I've tried checking if there are any bugs/requests on JAC around this, but couldn't find any. If you're on a paid plan, any chance you can reach out to Atlassian Support to see what they have to say about this 🎟️
