I develop Public Pages for Confluence at TypeSwitch.
Before one Public Pages update, I edited the documentation directly in Confluence. I updated the text on several pages, clarified headings and descriptions, and adjusted the structure and links between sections.
Read it as an external user
Before running Sync, I went through the pages as an external user would. I checked for internal notes, unfinished wording, and links to pages that should not be public.
Fix what the review reveals
During that review, I noticed that one link still pointed to an old page after several earlier edits. Some of the text also no longer matched the current product version.
I corrected both before publishing, and only then ran Sync.
Check the public result
After syncing, I opened the public site and checked the navigation, links, headings, and how the updated content was displayed.
That short pre-Sync review helps me catch internal documentation mistakes before they reach the public site.
