My space has been removed and no access to trash

I have found that my confluence space has been removed and all the support points to looking for it in trash. There is no trash in my account login portal and cannot see any trace of the site. Any ideas as to how I can recover my site and before anyone asks, I have no email from Atlassian to state inactivity.

If your site was on a Free plan, after 40 days without UI activity (a login or a page view; API calls do not count), the subscription is deactivated, and the data is permanently deleted roughly 15 days after that, so around day 55. Inside that window, Atlassian Billing, Licensing and Pricing support can reactivate the subscription and your data comes back with it. The fact that you got no warning email is worth stating in the ticket. More information can be found here by @Trudy P Claspill:

If you later on are looking for the Trash: The Page trash lives inside a space, under Space settings > Content > Trash. If the whole space is gone, that trash went with it, so you will never find it there. A deleted space sits somewhere else entirely, under Confluence administration > Data management > Trashed spaces, and only a Confluence admin sees that screen. A space admin does not. So an empty or missing trash often just means wrong permission level, not lost data.

Before assuming a deletion, I would also rule out archiving. Archived spaces are hidden from the space directory by default. Open the space directory and switch the filter to show archived spaces, or run a search and include archived content in the search filters.
