Uploading larger files to Bitbucket Downloads returns 401

I originally posted this question, but Bitbucket displayed an error during submission. Assuming the post had not been created, I submitted it again. I later discovered that the original post had actually gone through, resulting in a duplicate.

Hi A21,

That error might be occurring because the temporary session token expires due to a timeout during the transfer. I suggest using a fixed App Password for your API call.

Regarding your other questions, here are the details with the updated documentation:

• File limits: Theoretically, the limit for this section is 2 GB. Attempting to upload files close to 1 GB from the web interface or in a single POST request can crash due to timeouts.
