Hi admins! I'm Laura, a Product Manager here at Atlassian, building new features to help you manage the performance, scalability, and reliability of your Atlassian apps.
Jira and Confluence power your teams’ most important work. As an admin, you play a critical role in keeping these apps fast and reliable for the teams that depend on them. Having native performance tools at your disposal is essential for managing this responsibility at scale. I’m excited to announce that Performance Insights open beta is now rolling out to give you exactly that.
What is Performance Insights?
Included for free with Cloud Enterprise plans, Performance Insights gives admins dashboards and self-service tools to monitor, diagnose, and optimize cloud performance. Instead of filing a support ticket to see Jira and Confluence performance data and diagnose what’s happening, you can now:
- Monitor app performance and speed proactively with dashboards that show user load times.
- Discover optimization opportunities with insights that reveal where performance gains await.
- Optimize performance with self-service tools to fine-tune configurations and clean up or archive data.
Rovo-powered diagnostics for Jira help you improve site performance at scale. By automating monitoring and optimization workflows, admins can spend more time making improvements rather than manually reviewing data. With Rovo, you can quickly spot trends against historic baselines, pinpoint root causes down to specific boards or conditions, and take action with step-by-step remediation plans routed to the right owners.
Use Rovo to accelerate your performance optimization workflows
Understand which Confluence pages load slowly and would benefit from optimization
How does this help you?
Site admins can monitor performance for their specific Jira or Confluence site, identify factors influencing load times, and take action to optimize site performance, such as reducing macro-heavy page layouts or cleaning up board configurations.
Org admins gain visibility of performance across their Atlassian footprint from a single org-level view in Atlassian Administration, without checking each site individually. This enables them to easily compare sites and determine exactly which sites need cleanup first.
How do you access Performance Insights?
Performance Insights is available through three connected interfaces:
- Atlassian Administration: Org admins can access Performance Insights for all Jira and Confluence sites by logging in to admin.atlassian.com and selecting ‘Insights’ → ‘System Health’ → ‘Performance’.
- Jira: Site admins can access Performance Insights for their Jira site by selecting ‘System Settings’ → ‘Performance’.
- Confluence: Site admins can access Performance Insights for their Confluence site by selecting ‘Confluence Administration’ → ‘Performance’.
When can you start using Performance Insights?
All Cloud Enterprise sites will be automatically enrolled in the Performance Insights open beta with no action needed. Rollout is already underway, and all Enterprise sites will have access in the next few weeks.
What's next?
At general availability (GA) in Q1 2027, we’re expanding optimization tools to Confluence, including Rovo-powered diagnostics. In the future, we plan to extend Performance Insights beyond Jira and Confluence to more Atlassian apps.
We'd love to hear your feedback as we continue building toward GA; please share your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks,
Laura Mehrkens
