JSU vs Native Jira

Question

Hello ALL Wondering if anyone has any experience with moving from JSU within in server to Jira cloud. Any opinion's  if that add is really needed within Cloud. From what I can tell most of the validators and post function are natively available now in cloud from what I can tell

JSU has been around since before out of the box automation has matured. You're right about majority of validators and post functions now being available in native jira automation engine.

Most are there, but not all.

I recommend taking an inventory of your automations to see what they do and whether those same functions are available in Jira. If I remember correctly JSU has some user-related conditions and native Jira does not, such as checks for specific user, user being in a group, etc.

If your automations are not using functions that only exist in JSU - easy conversion for you.

If you are using JSU-only functions, tally the number of automations that do, assess their importance and compare cost against benefit.

Yes, a lot of features JSU offered in DC/Server are defaul in Cloud, but not all functions.
