Why can't I delete my account?

I just created this account but I've decided it's not for me and I'm going to delete it.

can you please describe which error message you get when trying?

Am I right in understanding you followed the steps outlined on the support page?

If all fails I'd suggest contacting Atlassian support as Community answerers are not able to view your specific account/billing details.
