Hi everyone,
I'm using Bitbucket Agentic Pipelines with provider: codex. My pipeline configuration appears to be correct:
OPENAI_API_KEY is configured as a secured Repository Variable.- The variable is successfully available inside the pipeline (
OPENAI_API_KEY is available). - My pipeline can successfully clone another private repository before starting the agent.
- The Codex agent starts correctly (
codex-acp 0.16.0). - OpenAI provider has already been enabled at the Workspace level.
However, immediately after the agent starts, it fails during session creation with:
<span>session creation error: {"code":-32000,"message":"Authentication required"}</span>The agent reports that OPENAI_API_KEY is a supported authentication method, but it never attempts the review and no additional authentication details are logged.
Is this a known issue with codex-acp 0.16.0, or is there any additional requirement for Agentic Pipelines to create a Codex session beyond providing OPENAI_API_KEY?
