Restrict user access so they cannot view other defects within the same project repository.

Question

Hi,

Can you restrict access to users to not seeing other users defects, so company A can't see Company B defect but they are in the same Project repository?

Scenario I may have is that we may have a few partners working on the same Pgm, but I don't want them to see each other defects so I am wondering if there is a way to restrict this but as the Defect Manager I still need to see ALL defects to report on.

Example,

Company A is in the same Project Repository as Company B and Company C, however I want to restrict Company A to be able to see their own defects but not able to see Company B or C, even if they use a JQL to try and view them.

Welcome to the community !!

You need to make use of Issue Security Scheme. 
i.e. Create security scheme for Company A and one for Company B
Add users/groups to related Issue security.

Once Defect is created, map the issue to related Security scheme. So Only users who are part of security schemes will be able to see them.

You can auto add security schemes to defect using Jira automation rules or post functions (Script runner)
