I ran "git config --global credential.helper manager", but every time I push or pull (with tortoisegit on Windows), I get propted for my credentials on bitbucket. This doesn't happen on github. I'm using Git for Windows 2.43.0 and the latest tortoisegit, and atlassian API tokens [https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens].
This is due to Atlassian's API key length being larger than what can be stored in Windows Credential Manager.
If you're OK with storing the key in plain text, you can use the workaround suggested in the link below.

Hi @אורי,
Welcome to the community.
Could you try clearing your credentials for Bitbucket Cloud then try to re-authenticate again?
Regards,Mark C
