Unable to add a code snippet to a comment on a PR

Hi! I was attempting to reply to a comment that someone made on my PR, and I tried to add a code snippet in the comment text. However, the page freezes indefinitely if I try to type " ``` " or click the Code Snippet button on the toolbar. All other buttons and markdowns don't cause this problem.

This is using Microsoft Edge, and eventually when I can click "Exit Page" when it's unresponsive, it gives this error code.

This looks like a browser specific issue. Bitbucket’s editor can hang in Edge when rendering fenced code blocks. Two quick checks:

• Try the same action in Chrome or Firefox to confirm it’s not your account or PR.
• Clear the Edge cache or disable extensions that inject scripts since they often cause the editor freeze.

If it works in another browser, report it to Atlassian as an Edge compatibility bug. It’s not related to your repo or permissions.
